“I want all my senses engaged.  Let me absorb the world's variety and uniqueness.”

~ Maya Angelou

As Maya indicates, the world is full of variety and uniqueness.  Part of our job as meeting facilitators is to encourage the respectful sharing of different points of view and experiences in meetings and other group assemblies. The willingness to be open to the variety and uniqueness found within the people who surround us, can be a game changer for businesses and organizations, as well as, personal growth and development.   We learn new information, think differently about issues and glean ‘ah-ha’s from not only our own experiences, but also through the experiences of others.  Meeting facilitators create a safe, creative environment for individuals to share their diverse experiences and ideas, which can lead to innovative and divergent ways of thinking.  This type of thinking can be the change that propels a company or organization forward.

The Facilitation Center  provides professional facilitation services to small and large groups.  The Center is well-respected and highly-sought after by a variety of regional, national and international organizations for their expertise and collaborative approach.  Facilitation specialties include:

  • Personalizing meeting designs to fulfill each client's unique needs;
  • Challenging groups to generate creative ideas and then funneling them into action; and
  • Developing a Curriculum (DACUM) Occupational Analysis, an internationally recognized process for conducting a job analysis for any profession.

Being a part of EKU, which has been ranked by Forbes Magazine in the top ten percent of colleges and universities nationwide, provides the Center with invaluable resources that are leveraged and shared with clients.   Thanks in part to our organizational roots, we highly value education and high-quality instruction, which is demonstrated through our dynamic professional development opportunities, including interactive trainings on meeting management and facilitation, as well as, DACUM Occupational Analysis.
